Abstract:Different gaseous ignition systems have been used for the characterization
of spherical deterred propellants in closed vessel tests. It has been observed that,
with an appropriate ignition system, a good correlation is obtained between closed
vessel tests, deterrent concentration profiles and ballistic firing.
